Two time Olympic Games marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge broke the Marathon world record after winning Berlin Marathon held today in the Germany Capital, Berlin.
The three time London marathon champion broke the 42km distance when he cut the tape in 2:01.09 to break his own record set in 2018 at 2:01.39 on the same course.
He shed of 30 seconds from his previous record for the 37-year-old and he beat compatriot Mark Korir who finished second in 2:05:58 as Tadu Abake from Ethiopia settled third in 2:06:28.
