World 1,500m champion Timothy Cheruiyot won silver in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Cheruiyot, the late entry into the Kenya team for the games, lost to Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen who won gold in the men’s 1,500m as Great Britain’s Josh Kerr taking bronze
Ingebrigtsen won with Olympic record of 3:28.32 as Cheruoyot won silver in 3:29.01 before Kerr ended the podium after clocking 3:29.05 while Kenya’s Abel Kipsang was 4th.
