Chipu, the Kenya under 20 rugby team are set to join the training camp ahead of the Barthes Cup set for later this month.
Team manager Peter Mutai said the squad which has been training for the past fortnight will do three-day training camp at the KCB Sports Club before the tournament kickoff on April 22
The former Kenya international and KCB player said the training camps will be vital to give the ideal preparation for the week-long Africa championship.
Kenya suffered a blow when promising lock Andycole Omollo sustained an ankle injury ruling him out of the Barthes Cup ‘ Omollo got injured in the warm up game against Blak Blad so he is out, he was one of our key players in the team its a blow for him but he will recover and continue with his rugby education very soon” observed Mutai
Seven players from last years side return to the squad and they include David Mwangi, Mathias Osimbo, Felix Masega Chacha, Stanslous Shikoli, Laban Kipsang, George Otieno and Makaya Brian.
