Cleophas Cheruiyot wins Lvliang Red marathon in China

Huaning Blue Berry marathon champion Cleophas Cheruiyot Lvliang Red marathon ran today in China, making three wins in the country.

 Cheruiyot, who claimed the Huaning Blue Berry marathon in May won the title on a slowest time of 2:24.00 beating hosts to second, third and 4^th positions.

“The course was very hilly hence registering slower time but I thank God I won it,” said Cheruiyot after prize presentation.

Apart from winning Huaning and Lvliang marathons, Cheruiyot also won Red Beach International marathon and finished 3^rd at the Xiamen half marathon.

“The race was very competitive and luckily I emerged top. This was not a walk in the park bearing the number of runners who had turned up to chase the same title,” added Cheruiyot.
