Harambee Starlets, the National football team coach David has hailed his team for playing better football and losing the Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCN) qualifier on the last hurdle.
Speaking after arriving in the country, Ouma said the quality team for putting up a great fight to only miss out on the continental show piece set for November in Ghana.
The team lost 2-0 to the hosts Equatorial Guinea with goals from Gloria Okoro and Salome Nke in the return leg at Estadio De Malabo on Saturday.
In the first leg, The Starlets came from a goal down to beat visiting team 2-1 at Machakos stadium as focus now shifts to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Women Premier League which resumes on Saturday.
The team jetted back into the country on today from Equatorial Guinea where they missed out on a place in the 2018 AWCON on 3-2 aggregate.
