Fresh from winning the 5,000m, double world cross country champion Beatrice Chebet won her second Olympic Games medal at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Chebet, who beat Faith Kipyegon to silver in the 5,000m last week, won her second gold in the 10,000m, a double gold medalist in her Olympic Games debut.
She crossed the finish line in 30:43.25 followed by Italian Nadia Battocletti (30:43.35) and Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands completimg the podium at 30:44.12.
Another Kenyan Margaret Kipkemboi Chelimo and Llian Kasait Rengeruk were in positions 4th and 5th in 30:44.58 and 30:45.05 respectively.
