Eldoret Falcons played out to a barren draw against Kenya Women Premier league (KWPL) champions Vihiga Queens in the KWPL match played today at the University of Eldoret grounds.
It was a bad day for Falcons who are fighting for top three position as the league enters homestretch.
In the congested fixture, Falcons had yesterday thrashed winless Baringo Starlets 4-0 away to Elama Ravine Sports ground as they prepare to face Makolanders on Wednesday at the UOE’s pavilion.
The draw was not good for head coach Josphat Pilisho who admitted that they had a good game, controlling the ball in all areas but failed to convert their chances.
“We played good football but failed to utilize our ball possession but we shall rectify our mistakes to win against Makolanders. That is a game to win,” said Pilishi.
The Falcons failed to set a sweet revenge following 4-3 win for Vihiga Queens in their first leg match played at Mumias Complex.
In other KWPL results, Trans nzoia thrashed Spedag 5-0 to remain second in the table in a match played at Camp Toyoyo today with goals from Martha Amunyolete netting a hattrick, Monica Paul and Tumaini Waliaula scoring a goal a piece.
Kayole Starlet beat Vihiga Leeds 2-1 at the same venue with goals from Purity Nzetu (Vihiga), Audrey Kaeei (Kayole) and Emily Adhiambo (Kayole).
