Eldoret’s head coach David Wachie said they have been working their way to get out of the third tier and the right time came for them to be promoted.

“We have been planning to be promoted for the last two years and here we have achieved. We have worked hard to be here and our next plan is to look for funds, better playing field, increase fan base and sign experienced players so that we can enjoy the second tier,” said Wachie.

He added that as far as they have reached Championships, there plan is to return to Kenya Cup in two or three years time after having more funds.

“Playing at Kenya Cup is not easy. We want to stabilize first, get enough funds and fan base before we can make it to the top tier. For now we will concentrate on Championships,” added Wachie.

Eldoret RFC will play against Northern Suburbs in the final play-offs to determine the winner of the Nationwide title.
