Eliud Kipchoge on the final nominee of IAAF Athlete Of the year

World Marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge has made it to the top five finalists for the 2018 IAAF Athletics Award.

The two time London marathon champion will be fighting for top five other world athletes for the 2018 IAAF Athlete of the Year award with 14 days to go.

Kipchoge who won Berlin marathon title on 16th September 2018 will be fighting with America’s sprinter Christian Coleman, the world Indoor record holder in 60m.

Others include Armand Duplantis of Sweden, the world under 20 champion, Kevin Mayer of France, the world decathlon record holder and Qatar’s Abderrahman Samba, the IAAF Continental Cup winner.\

The five athletes, who represent five countries from four Area associations, have illustrated excellence across nearly all athletics disciplines in 2018.
