Perine Engambi and Vincent Ng’etich won the Standard Chartered Nairobi half marathon accolades held today in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
Coming from Kapsabet, Nandi county, Engambi won the women’s race when she clocked 72:59 for the title ahead of Abigail Jelimo (73:41) and Lilian Jebii (74:32) for top three positions.
Nakuru County’s Ng’etich was the men’s winner when he timed 61:44 for the title beating Rhonzas Kiplimo to second when he clocked 61:54 and Peter Kipsirati completing the podium in 62:59.
In other results, Geoffrey Kipchumba won the men’s 10km race with a time of 28.27.2. Second place went to Raynold Kipkorir, who clocked 28.38.8. Patrick Mosin finished third with a time of 28:59.4.
