Faith Kipyegon retained her title after winning her third 1,500m title at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Kipyegon won the women’s 1,500m to defend her title she won in 2021 in Tokyo, Japan and the 2016 show in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
On Saturday, the world 1,500m record holder won the title in 3:51.29, that stands as an Olympic record with Jessica Hull coming second at 3:52.56 as Great Britain’s Georgia Bell completed the podium in 3:52.61.
Last week, the double world 1,500m champion had won silver in the 5,000m behind Beatrice Chebet.
