Faith Kipyegon sail to the finals of Paris Olympic Games

Faith Kipyegon is on her way to claim a triple gold medal at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Today evening, the double 1,500m Olympic champion stormed into the finals of the 1,500m race after winning in the semifinals.

Other Kenyans Nelly Chepchirchir and Susan Ejore, who were making their debut at Olympics failed to make it to the finals.

Chepchirchir will miss the finals after crossing the finish line in the 11th position timing 4:03.24 while Ejore failed to shine hence missing out after crossing the line in 5th position at 3:56.57.

Fresh from winning the 5,000m silver medal behind the champion Beatrice Chebet, Kipyegon won the first heat at 3:58.64 ahead of Great Britain’s Georgia Bell (3:59.49) and Elle St. Pierre completed the podium in 3:59.74.
