No medal for Julius Yego at Paris Olympic Games

Former Olympic Games javelin silver medalist Julius Yego failed to earn a medal at the Ongoing Olympic games in Paris, France.

The former Commonwealth Games javelin champion managed to finish in 5th position during today’s javelin finals.

As a multiple Africa javelin champion, Yego started off with 80.29m throw before improving to 87.72m that earned him the 5th position with a third throw at 84.90m.

Yego won the silver medal during the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games finished behind the gold medalist Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan with an Olympics record of 92.97m followed by defending champion and India’s Neeraj Chopra (89.45m) before Anderson Peters of Grenada winning bronze (88.54m) with Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic in 4th with 88.50m.
