Kenyan Fanny Kiprotich and Ethiopian Tigist Gezahagn were crowned the champions of the 2026 Vienna City marathon held today in Vienna, Austria.
Kiprotich won the men’s title in 2:06:53 ahead of Eritrean Ogbe Kibrom in 208:10 with Kenyan Charles Yosei Mneira completing the podium at 2:08:42.
Samuel Kiptoo was 4th at 2:09:03 followed by compatriot Simon Mwangi’s 2:09:05 as Ethiopian Tafese Delegen (2:09:55) in 5th before Kenyan Mica Cheserek coming in 6th at 2:12:15.
Gezahagn smashed the course record after winning the women’s race at 2:20:06 beating countrymate Haftamnesh Tesfaye to second at 2:20:18 as Kenyan Hellen Chepkorir completed the podium at 2:23:48 followed by another Kenyan Faith Chepkoech for 4th place in 2:28:10.
