Golf Park’s Amos Odongo fired two over par 218 to win the inaugural Machakos Open, the Masaku Open, the 8th leg of Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series on par 72 Machakos Golf Club.
The three day championships that teed off on Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, belonged to Odongo who managed to lead in all the three rounds.
Masaku Open is the new entrant into the KAGC series just like last week’s Ulinzi Invitation that was won b y Kamonza Longwe.
The champion started off with level par 72 in round one, followed with identical +1 in the second and third rounds for the title.
He edged out Muthaiga’s Eugene Wafula with a shot at three over 219 then Wesley Kibet rounding up the podium on +4 220.
