Geoffrey Kamworor to headline Bengaluru 10km race

world half marathon icon Geoffrey Kamworor will be the star attraction at this year’s IAAF World TCS World 10K Bengaluru race.

Kamworor who has won world half marathon three times in a row, starting from the 2014, 2016 and 2018, earned race promoters an opportunity to announce that the world champion will head the men’s elite field set for 27th May.

The two time world cross country champion will be competing for the first timer since claiming his third victory at the world half marathon in Valencia, Spain on 24th March 2018.

the 25 year old runner won the 2017 New York marathon title ahead of 2015 champion Wilson Kipsang and is one of the world’s leading distance runners in recent years.

The TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2018 has a total prize fund of US$213,000 and it has risen in prominence every year since it was inaugurated in 2008 and is now one of Asia’s leading races over the distance.
