Eldoret Falcon, the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) side will play two matches this weekend as they consolidate points at the University of Eldoret ground.
On Saturday, the Falcons will host Oserian Ladies, which sits 6th on the table ahead of Sunday’s top notch matches against top of the table side Thika Queens.
But with two matches on card, head coach Joshua Ariko is not a worried man because they have done their utmost training to face their opponents.
Oserian Ladies, who have accumulated 18 points from nine matches, will be traveling to Eldoret where they beat hosts last year as their hosts, who sits third position with same games having 20 points will be a mouth watering encounter.
With financial constraints, The Falcons, a team which has been raising funds to facilitate their travel and keeping the team in camp, they are determined to make a difference.
Ariko was optimistic that his side will play well come Saturday and Sunday and if they get a win which will be a big boost to their title chase.
“We are going to play with tough teams and we will handle them like champions,” said Ariko.
Oserian Ladies has played nine matches, won six losing three and netting 23 times and conceding 15 times.
Sunday will be a defining moment for the Falcons-either to end the 100% wins or give another 100% wins for Thika Queens.
Ariko said: “We have been sharpening our skills through vigorous training sessions. With the two matches, we know we are ready and we have been preparing for the doubleheader. And we are well prepared through our training.”
Thika has registered 100% wins in their 7 matches played, garnering 21 points, netting 29 times and conceding only five times.
Gaspo Youth sits between Thika and The Falcons, having played 10 games with 21 points tying with table leaders, with Thika enjoying goal difference.
