Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will be hosting Sportpesa Shield Cup champions Kariobangi Sharks in KPL match set for Saturday at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
Gor will be tackling the Sharks ahead of Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup tie against RS Berkane of Morroco in the quarterfinals match at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The Hassan Oktay led side will be seeking to set a sweet revenge against William Muluya side following 1-0 win courtesy of Duke Abuya for the Sharks in the opening leg ending a four win for 17 times KPL champions Gor.
Coming into Saturday’s match, Gor Mahia had humiliated Zoo Kericho 0-4 in Kericho while Sharks went down 3-1 in the hands of Tusker.
In another match, former champions Tusker will be travelling to Chemelil Sports Complex to play Chemelil Sugar.
The two matches will highlight the weekend KPL as majority of teams are involved in Shield Cup encounters.
