Multiple champions Gor Mahia defeated Murang’a Seal to close in on winning their 22nd Kenya Premier League title.
In a match played at the Nyayo National stadium, league leaders were 3-1 winners over Seal to open a four-point gap against second placed AFC Leopards with two matches left to be played in the 18 tea, league.
After playing 32 matches, Gor have amassed 68 points with second placed Leopards having 64 heading into the homestretch.
In the match, Gor captain skipper Samuel Kapen scored the opener in the 18th minute for a 1-0 lead before Joseph Waithira leveled for Seal 20 minutes later into the break with Gor leading 2-1.
On resumption, Shariff Musa restored Gor’s lead in the 52nd minute for 2-1 then substitute Ebenezer Assifuah sealed the 3-1 victoty for Gor in the 76th minute.
