Great Rift Rugby: Homeboyz to start title defence against Kabras Sugar

Homeboyz RFC will start their Great Rift 10-a-side rugby tournament against Kabras Sugar this weekend at Nakuru Athletics Club.

Kabras won Challenge Trophy will be hoping to down Homeboyz who returns to hunt for their title when they edged out Strathmore Leos 22-0 in the final match.

Kenya Cup teams Homeboyz and Kabras Sugar are in pool A together with Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) championships Western Bulls and Makueni RFC.

Last year finalists The Leos leads pool B together with Mwamba, Menengai Oilers and Kisii RFC.

Pool C has Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) whose last visit to Nakuru was successful in the Prinsloo Sevens winning the Main Cup. They tackle Kenya Harlequins, Mean Machine and Masinde Muliro University (MMUST).

The die is cast in pool D where hosts Top Fry Nakuru RFC will have a date with Impala Saracens, Nondescripts and Blak Blad in pool D.
