Shujaa qualified for the second time in the 2017/2018 HSBC world rugby sevens series to play in final match against Fiji.
The Kenya national rugby sevens team beat New Zealand 21-12 in semi final match at Hong Kong sevens to book for a second semi final against Fiji, the last time they met was in Vancouver when Fiji won the main cup final with Shujaa finishing second.
Second best try maker Collins Injera made two tries with Willy Ambaka adding a third try for Kenya for a repeat date against Fiji.
Nicole Amanaki crossed the try line first off the kick off. Rocky Khan converted for a 7-0 lead but Kenya responded brilliantly through Injera crossing over as Sammy Oliech converted to tie the score at 7-7.
Captain Oscar Ouma’s superb try saving ensured the level. Injera showed his brilliance as Kenya went into the lead, converted by Oliech adding home the twos for a 14-7 lead at half time.
Innocent Simiyu’s charges were on top form in the last half as Ambaka made a try between the posts with Oliech converting for at 21-7 and New Zealand scored a late consolation Jona Nareki.
