The Kenyan duo finished almost together as Lonyangata from West Pokot and American based Betsy Saina won the women’s event, her first major.

Lonyangata passed Betsy Saina, the women’s winner as they led an all podium finish for Kenyan runners.

Lonyangata finished in 2:6.21 as Saina won her race in 2:22:56.

Last year Lonyangata won the men’s title while his wife Purity Rionoripo won the women title.
