Winnie Jemutai and Purity Chepkirui will be in search of gold in 1,5000m following their qualification to the world under 20 athletics championships currently happening at the Kasarani stadium.
Jemutai finished second in heat one in 4:26.47 behind heat winner Diribe Welteji of Ethiopia in 4:26.26 to sail to the finals.
Chepkirui battled in the second heat, winning in 4:22.10 ahead of Hiwot Mehari in second position timing 4:22.37.
