Legendary footballer Joe Kadenge was louded as the greatest of all season that Kenya has ever produced.
During a mass held today in Nairobi, retired footballers, politicians, family members and friends said Kadenge was an inspiration to many players in the country.
Leading the footballers was his captain John Nawangwa whom they played together at the 1972 Africa Cup of Nations while Raila Odinga led the political class.
Widows Maria and Marble described the late as a great husband.
Kadenge who died aged 84, will be laid to rest on Saturday at his rural Gesambai home in Tiriki, Vihiga County.
