Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia failed to reclaim the Cecafa Kagame Cup title after losing in today’s quarterfinal.
The former champions lost 2-1 to Green Eagles of Zambia in the third quarterfinal match to fail to win the title for the better years.
The Hassan Oktay led team, went down to the invitees as Eagles proceeded to the semi-final joining champions Azam, Ugandas Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) in the 16 team tournament.
Nicholas Kipkirui scored first for 18 time champions before Tapsan Kaseba levelled as Shadrack Mulungwe sealed the victory.
