A week after winning Agreed Golf tournament, John Bore Chemogos will seeking to shine again at the Saturday’s Trans National Bank golf day at par 72 Kitale golf course alongside his captain Michael Kimutai.
The event has attracted local based golfers from Eldoret led by former Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) director John Kibosia.
Club Captain Kimutai will also be chasing for good results on Saturday.
“As a leader I have many responsibilities but I will do my best to get best results,” said Kimutai.
Chemogos who won last Saturday’s event with a whopping 39 stable ford points, will be on the tee at 8:50 playing alongside home golfers Haron Wachira and Michael Rotich.
“I want to try my best on Saturday to extend my winning ways,” said Chemogos.
Trans National Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Sammy langat was full of praise for the bank in supporting sports across the country as part of inspiration.
“As a Bank, we are in line with the mission where we are seeking to turn opportunities into successes. Over the years, Transnational Bank has supported athletics, specifically through marathons and we have in addition support many athletes to develop alternative income streams beyond the income from athletics.
He said that the bank will increase participation in sports in the counties they operate in by supporting talent development and supporting financially. It can be through an individual sportsmen in their entrepreneurial initiatives as part of the bank’s 2015 – 2020 strategy implementation.
“We are grateful to our partners; the business community in the region and Kitale Club, through the golf captain, whom we have come together to make this tournament a success,” added Langat.
Home golfer George Rutto will be the first golfer on the tee at 8:00am accompanied by home players P. Mutisya, and P. Shah. Ten minutes later, Elisha Mwei will take on the tee with K. Matonya and Francis Gitau.
