Double Los Angeles marathon champion John Korir is the new Chicago marathon champion that was held this evening in the USA.
Competing on the course for the third time, Korir cut the tape at 2:02:44 followed by Ethiopian Mohamed Esa (2:04:39) with former world marathon bronze medalist Amos Kipruto (2:04:50) winding up the podium.
The 24 year old runner’s time was the second-fastest-ever run in Chicago after Kelvin Kiptum’s world record on the course last year.
