Eldoret Youth striker Joseph Oyugi lone goal earned maximum points for Eldoret Youth in a highly tempered National Super League (NSL) match played today at Eldoret Showground.
Oyugi converted Kevin cheti’s low cross, with his right foot to score past Shabana’s keeper Kennedy Obwonda in a fully packed ground following their jaza stady campaign within Eldoret town and its enmvirons on Wednesday morning.
The 32nd minute goal was vital for Eldoret Youth with their opponents failing to stage a sweet revenge after the hosts beat them 1-0 at Gusii stadium and a one-all draw in the return match at Wareng High school in the Division One before promotion into the second tier.
In a tense match, Shabana head coach Gilbert Selebwa was send off after he confronted the center referee Roel Koech and first line man Arnold Kimutai.
Eldoret Youth head coach Peter Kihamba said he is excited to have won the match at home despite the first half commotion.
“Am very happy I have won today especially at home and we played a well oerganized game in-spite of the commotion with earlier,” said Kihamba.
