Junior Starlets fall to England at FIFA Women Under 17 World Cup

Kenya’s Junior Starlets fell to England in their opening pool C match at the ongoing FIFA Women’s Under 17 World Cup in the Dominican Republic last night at the CFC stadium in Santaiago de los Caballeros.

The 2am match kick off was the first one for the country at the global football stage with Kenya going down 2-0 with goals from Lola Brwon and Lauryn Thompson.

Bown converted from the spot after Halima Imbachi handed the ball in the box for a 1-0 lead before a strike from Thompson.

Making debut at the World Cup, the Mildred Cheche coached side will now face Korea in their second match on Sunday October 20th before concluding the pool matches against the hosts.
