Junior Starlets, the Kenya under 17 Women team defeat Intercity in a friendly match played today at the Albir stadium in Spain ahead of their debut at the Women FIFA World Cup set for next week in Dominican Republic.
With the win, kenya will be traveling to Domincan republic and will start their title chase against England on October 18ht, face North Korea on 21st October and the last pool C match with Mexico on October 24th.
Being the last friendly match, the Mildred Cheche side won 4-1 as a morale booster ahead of the world cup with goal coming from valarie Nekesa (18), before Intercity leveled in the 44th minute for 1-1 draw into break.
After resumption, substitute Quinter Odiwour made it 2-1 in the 55th minute before another substitute Lornah Faith scored the third for 3-1 in the 86th minute and Valencia Angela Joy closed the goal rush in the 90+3 for a 4-1 win.
This was the second friendly win after beating Valencia 4-1 and drew 1-1 with Portugal.
