Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar will be taking on Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) at the inaugural Western lake Victoria Cup finals set for next weeked at Mamboleo ground, Kisumu County.
Kabras narrowly defeated hosts Kisumu RFC 14-10 while MMUST won the kakamega County derby with a 29-10 thumbing of Western Bulls in today’s semifinals matches.
Valerian Tendwa was the man to watch when he bagged brace ties for sugar millers and shooting between the posts for extras.
The hosts were the first on the score sheet when Israel Makokha scored the opening try which he converted for a 7-0 lead but Tendwa converted his try to draw level.
Tendwa tounched down his second, which he stepped up to concvert for 14-7 lead before Makokha slotted in a penalty for the final 14-10 win.
With the win Kabras will face MMUST who thrashed Bulls 29-10.
