Newly crowned world half marathon record holder Geoffrey Kamworor returned home today full of happiness as targets more records in future.
Kamworor who on Sunday broke the 21km distance 58:01 at Copenhagen Half marathon in Denmark, used the event as part if training ahead of November’s New York marathon hoping to reclaim his 2017 title.
The 26 year old lowered compatriot Daniel Kiptum time of 58:18 set last year in Valencia half marathon.
Kamworor who trains in Kaptagat under Global Sports Communication is also a three times world half marathon champion.
He also won silver in 10,000m at world championships and Olympic games.
The all surface runner also won the world cross country twice before he’s relegated to bronze this year in Aarhus, Denmark.
