Kapsabet boys, Tambach in good start at RVSSSA

Kapsabet Boys and hosts Tambach registered wins in boys Basketball and handball as Rift Valley Secondary Schools Sports Association started today at Tambach Teachers Training College and Tambach Boys courts respectively.

In basketball boys, Kapsabet overcame Litein 45-35 in one of the intense encounter at Tambach court C. kapsabet from nandi County lost the opening set 7-9 followed by 8-10 los in the second but won the last two in 10-7 and 10-9 while Mulot won by 40-33 against Narok high school in 9-6, 10-06, 17-08 and 4-3.

In handball Victor Kiprotich was the highest scorer for Lekimbo high school with 11 points as his school went down 25-28 against Aiyebo in boys pool C match played at Tambach Boys.

Kiprotich, the form two student anchored his team despite losing with a three point margin while his team mate Kipngeno Bor netted five.

The experienced Aiyebo nine points through Collins Kibiwott while Kelvis Kipngetich managed six in their opener.

In other handball matches, hosts used home ground advatange to defeat Lake Solai 26-18 in pool A match in court A.

In girls category, Baringo’s Kirandich girls defeated Kisima Mix 44-07 in pool D match while Trans Nzoia’s Nabunga High school defeated Senir Chief Rissa Girls 37.07.
