Michael Karanga successfully defended his Malindi Open title, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series that came to an end today at the par 70 Malindi golf club.
The event dubbed Vasco Da Gama, The Kiambu golfer fired a total of eleven over par 221 for the title to successfully retain the title and open a gap at the summit of the KAGC series that enters homestretch.
In the three day tournament that teed off on Friday, with players tackling 54 holes where the Kiambu player fired four over par 74 on Friday, followed level par 70 and dug deep to 7 over 77 for the title defence.
