Reigning Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) champion Michael Karanga successfully defended the Coast Open (Barry Cup) title that came to an end today at the par 71 Mombasa Golf Club.
The Kiambu golfer fired a total of one under par 212 to claim the title after edging out former KAGC champion and series leader John Lejirma.
In the three day tournament that teed off on Friday, the Kiambu golfer started off with six under par 65 in the first round on Friday, added another two over par 73 in the second round and a deserving three over par 74 in the third and final round to claim the title.
