KCB close on Tusker as Vihiga, Wazito, Bandari and Homeboyz win

KCB FC, Vihiga United, Wazito FC, Bandari and Kakamega Homeboyz picked all points in today’s Kenya Premier League matches.

Chasing to win their maiden titles, KCB mercilessly beat Kariobangi Sharks 3-0 at Thika Stadium to reduce the gap over leaders Tusker win a point in 55 against 54.

The bankers scored their goals through Samuel Mwangi, Baraka Badi and Michael Oduor for their 16th win of the of the season.

Mwangi scored first in the 6th minute and Badi doubled in the 50th minute after converting a penalty and Oduor sealed the victory eight minutes later for a 3-0 win.

Relegation bound Vihiga United, who are returning into the league defeated Western Stima 2-0 in the western Kenya derby at the Nakuru ASK ground.

Bandari were 1-0 winners against Posta Rangers at Mbaraki stadium.

Wazito recorded a 2-1 win against bottom placed Mathare United as Kakamega Homeboyz came from a goal down to beat 2009 champions Sofapaka 2-1 at Wundayi sports ground.

In other matches, AFC Leopards were held to a 2-all draw against Nzoia Sugar at Nakuru ASK ground.
