Post Bank, Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Prisons, Prisons Nairobi and KCB today dominated the first round of the ongoing 4ht leg of Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National women’s League at the Nyayo stadium where Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) unbeaten came to an end.
Post Bank were straight set winners against Young Spykers in 25-6, 25-8 and 25-9. Struggling with relegation, sitting in third last position, Young Spykers have accumulated three points in the league standings as they face defending champions KCB tomorrow while Post Bank take on Marantha, who gave away points to former champions Kenya Pipeline.
Other winners today was the Prisons Nairobi who overcame Kenya Army in a five-set thriller 25-15, 24-26, 23-25, 25-16 and 17-19
Former champions Kenya Prisons defeated much-improved Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-0 (25-14, 25-22 and 25-20) as Kenya Pipeline who are fresh from participating in the CAVB Zone V Clubs Championship in Uganda earned a walk over after their opponent Marantha missed the tournament.
KCB delivered a statement performance, handing DCI their first loss of the season with a commanding 3-1 victory at 25-15, 22-25, 25-13 and 25-19.
DCI, previously unbeaten, now sit in third place with 12 points from four wins as KCB climbs to third place with 14 points, surpassing DCI.
