Kenya Prisons men’s successfully defended former champions General service Unit (GSU) to retain the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League title.
The champions came from a set down to dismiss GSU 3-1(19-25,25-19,25-21,25-19) at the Moi International Sports Centre indoor arena, Kasarani in Nairobi on Saturday.
This follows another 3-0 yesterday in a three legged tier yesterday.
With the victory, KVF awarded them Sh 100,000 cash award at the conclusion of the KVF National League final playoffs at Kasarani in, Nairobi on Saturday night.
GSU and Kenya Ports Authority, who finished second and third, went home with Sh 75,000 and Sh 50,000 in that order.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) clinched third place with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in a preceding match at the same venue on Saturday morning.
