Kenya Rugby League has appointed former rugby player turned coach Charles Cardovillis as director for commercial and special projects.
The former Kabras Sugar head coach will responsible for developing the league’s long term commercial plan and introducing sustainable development goals, into the Rugby leagues ecosystem.
The 41 year old has been involved in sports for close to 25 years contributing and serving in various different capacities.
After playing for Shujaa, the national sevens team Simbas, the national 15’s international and turned out for local side Harlequins. He has also been involved in coaching local outfits like Harlequins, Kabras among others.
According to KRLF Chairman Quicks Nyakwaka, they have “tremendous confidence in his ability to develop KRL commercial and special projects that will be of great impact and benefit to the rugby players, KRL affiliate clubs, partners and sponsors’’.
He added: “He has achieved and accomplished much as a player, coach and a project manager off the rugby pitch’’.
