Rising Stars, the Kenya’s under 20 national under 20 football team lost their second match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Under 20 championships in Cairo, Egypt.
After losing 3-2 to Morocco in the opening pool B match, Kenya started well against Tunisia but went down 3-1 at the final whistle putting their survival at the edge ahead of their third and final pool match against Nigeria.
Lawrence Ouma Okoth scored first for Kenya in the 38th minute before Fares Bousnina leveld through the penalty for 1-1 into break.
On resumption, Omar Ben Ali scored for the North Afroicans for a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute and Alaeddine Derbali sealed Tunisian 3-1 victory with his 85th long shot.
Kenya will now face Nigeria, who beat Tunisia in the opening match with Tunisia playing neighbours Morocco who beat Kenya 3-1 in the final pool matches on Tuesday afternoon.
