Kimining, Nyaboke top Kenyans at Antrim half marathon

Shadrack Kimining and Vane Nyaboke were the best Kenyans at today’s  Antrim half marathon held in Northern Ireland.

Kimining finished third after clocking 60:31 behind Ethiopian Jemal Yimer (60:29) as the champion as compatriot Tesfahun Akalnew was second timing 60:30 with Marck Scott from Northern Ireland and Nigel Martin from England taking 4th and 5th positions in 60.34 and 63.21 respectively

In women race, Nyaboke was second in 69:44 begind Ethiopian Yalemzerf Yehualaw who ran away with the world record of 60:03.43

Kenyan Vane Nyamboke came home second in 69.44 and was followed by England’s Rose Harvey who closed the podium finishes in 70.28

Yehualaw cut 57 second off her personal best set in Istanbul earlier this year when Chepngetich set the then world record.
