Amos Kipruto was the best runner in today’s Prague Half Marathon ran in Czech Republic finishing 4th overall.
Kipruto, the 2018 Berlin marathon silver medalist came in 4th position after Bahrain international Almahjoub Dazza won the race timing 2:05.58 ahead of Ehiopia’s Dawit Wolde in second by clocking 2:06.18 followed by his compatriot Ayechew Bantie (2:06.23) as Kipruto was 4th in 2:06.46.
In women category, Kenyan born turned Israeli Lonah Chemtai Salpeter won the race in 2:19.46, which was a course record. She broke Valary Aiyabei Jemeli’s record set in 2017 at 2:21.57.
She was closely followed by Ethipia’s Shitaye Eshete (2:22.34) and Genet Yalew (2:24.34) and Kelyn Taylors in 2:26.27.
