Search for Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) series heads to par 73 Kitale golf club this weekend in the Trans Nzoia Open meeting.
The 54-hole tournament, home golfers led by three time club captain Stephen Malakwen will be taking home advantage in the World Amateur Ranking ahead of 2022 Magical Kenya Open.
The golfers will be playing 36 holes in two rounds on Saturday before ending the two day tournament on Sunday with 18 holes.
“Am well prepared for the event and playing at home gives us an advantage though it has been a while since we played due to coronavirus. Playing off handicap 18 may pose a challenge for me but am ready for the challenge,” said Malakwen.
He added that he will be on the course to interact with lower handicap golfers and it will be a learning experience.
“Playing with top golfers is part of learning experience and the main purpose is also to interact when playing on 54 holes,” said Malakwen.
