Brian Kiprop Komen and Laban Kosgei Kiptoo won bronze medals in the 1,500m and 5,000m respectively at the concluded Africa Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana.
In the 1,500m, Komen crossed the finish line after stopping the timer at 3:43.19 behind the champion Munnik Luam (3:42.19) from South Africa, after leading compatriot Levy tshepo Tshite to silver in 3:42.31.
On the other side, Kosgei won bronze in the 5,000m when he clocked 13:18.71 behind Djibouti’s Dawit Scare Rephanyukwi (13:16.92) and Ethiopian Mubin haji Hayato (13:18.33.
