Less than a month after recording his maiden victory at the Scrabble Kenya tournament in Kiambu, Bernard Koyyoko will be the man to watch at the opening leg of the Scrabble Kenya Geeks National Tournament in Nairobi.

Koyyoko has taken an early lead as he aims to win the first event to start the year on a high note.
Today, he won 9 out of 10 games played in the two day tournament that ends tomorrow with 18 games to be played at the same venue.
Stanley Njoroge was the only player to have beaten the second seed Koyyoko in day one with 7 more to be played tomorrow.
Geeks’ makes the opening round of the legs that will be followed by Kitui leg on February 1-2 then Bondo in March 1-2 (full program below)
