Kiplangat and Chepkorir triumph at Kisii cross country

Upstarts Edwin Kiplangat Bett and Diana Chepkorir were the winners of the Athletics Kenya final leg of Cross country championships held today in Kisii.

It was another stellar performance by Joyline Chepkemoi and Emmanuel Someki lemiso who won in the 6km and 8km junior women and men respectively

Chepkorir won the 10km women title in an impressive 33:05.4 followed by Janeth Chepngetich (33:32.8) and home girl Gladys Kwamboka completed the podium after clocking 34:11.8.

 Kiplangat recorded his second victory in the series after his kapsokwony leg when he claimed the men’s 10km title  in 29:55.8 as Asbel Kiprop Kiprono finished second 30:05.0 while Francis Kipkorir Langat was third in 30:10.6.

Chepkemoi won the under 20 6km women beating Cynthia Chepkurui with Lemiso dominating under 20 8km junior men in 23:56.4 followed by Emmanuel Yegon mounted and Ronald Kipkoech Ngetich.
