Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were the winners of this year’s Trans County volleyball tournament that was played at Kenyatta sradium in Kitale.
KPA won the men’s title following their victory in a five thriller setter against Equity Bank while DCI won women’s title agaisnt their rivals in a Kenya Defence Forces final match.
The mailmen won the opening set at 25-22 before back to back loss in the second and third set in 22-25 and stretched 27-29. but changes were made and they came up in the fourth set with a bang to claim in 25-11 and 16-14.
in the semifinals, KPA defeated KDF in three straight sets of 16-25, 17-25 and 23-25 while DCI were 3-0 winners of Prison Mombasa in 25-19, 25-22 and 25-22.
DCI were the women winners after 3-1 set fought for the investigators in 18-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-11.
