Kenya’s Jacob Krop won the 3,000m title at the Paris Diamond League held this evening in Paris, France ahead of Olympic Games at the same venue.
The reigning world 5,000m bronze medalist won the 3,000m title in 7:28.83 as personal best ahead of Australian Stewart McSweyn (7:29.46) and American Sean McGorty (7:35.63) for third.
His time was just a second slower than the meet record of 7:27.67, held by Algerian Ali Saidi-Sief since 2000.
Another Kenyan in the race, Isaac Ndiema, finished eighth in 7:39.12
