Former champions AFC Leopards defeated their hosts Kakamega Homeboyz to cut lraders’ Gor Mahia with a point in the chase for the Kenya Premier League title.
With the league heading into the homstrech, Leopards managed to beat Homeboyz 2-1 in a match played at the Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County.
Emmanuel Lwangu and Samuel Semo scored for the Fred Amabni’s side as Boniface Nyabuto netted a consolation.
At 64 points, Leopards remains second behind Gor Mahia on 65 points with the former having played a match more than the later ahead of penultimate round of play.
Gor Mahia will take on Murang’a Seal tomorrow.
In other results today, Mathare United were 1-0 winners away to Mara Sugar as newbies Nairobi United were held to a 2-2 draw by Posta Rangers.
