Two weeks after winning the world under 20 3,000m, Tadese Worku proved his worth by winning the Kamila Skolomowska Memorial, the World Athletics Continental Tour in Silesia, Poland.
The Ethiopian Worku, who won the title in 7:36.47, which was the meeting record was in his superlative form, beating Olympic Games 3,000m steeplechase champion Soufiane El-Bakkali who managed second position in 7:37.18 ahead of compatriot Mohammed Tindoufti (7:38.92) as his personal best.
The best Kenyan was the little known Mark Owon Lomuket who came in 9th position in 8:01.11.
